Richer notes with draw, tables, and attachments

Mix writing with draw, tables, and an attachment when a note needs more than text.

Richer Notes

Notes is a stack of layout items. This tutorial adds structure beyond a single paragraph: headings, lists, a table, a draw, and a Doc link.

Start writing

Open a project and stay on Notes. If you see Start writing…, click and type a heading, or open island Add and pick Heading 1. Add a paragraph under it.

Lists and to-dos

Insert Bullet and To-do items. Indent with the editor. To-dos can take a status; keep page-level checklists here and real work Docs on the Tasks tab.

Table and draw

Add a Table and fill a few cells. Add Draw for a sketch — it starts as Untitled sketch. Switch display to Wide or Card if the default is too tall.

Point at another Doc

Insert a Reference, search with Search documents…, and pick a Doc. That is a Doc link, not a share. Import a template if you want a ready-made Notes stack.
