Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Fantasync ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Fantasync.

2. Service Description

Fantasync is a task and project management application available in the browser. It provides boards, markdown docs, themes, and cloud sync for organizing your work.

3. Account Registration

An account is required for cloud sync and persistent workspace data. Accounts are created via Google OAuth or email magic link. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Each person may maintain one account.

4. User Content and Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all content you create using Fantasync, including tasks, docs, boards, and attachments.

By using cloud features, you grant Fantasync a limited, non-exclusive license to store, transmit, back up, and display your content solely as necessary to provide the Service (e.g., cloud sync). This license ends when you delete your content or account.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to distribute illegal content.
  • Upload or distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service.
  • Impersonate others or engage in harassment or abuse.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Fantasync Intellectual Property

The Fantasync application, including its design, code, branding, and original assets, is owned by coldfox. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the application itself without prior written permission.

7. Disclaimers

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
  • Cloud sync requires an active internet connection and a signed-in account.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fantasync and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruptions, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from Account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your cloud data will be deleted.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the jurisdiction in which Fantasync operates.
